Darvish downed again as Blue Jays upset Texas
(Reuters) – Japanese All Star pitcher Yu Darvish struck out 10 but it was not enough to claim victory as the lowly Toronto Blue Jays scored a 3-2 home triumph over the Texas Rangers on Friday. Darvish pitched seven innings and gave up three hits but a poor Rangers offence confined him to his ninth loss of the year (12-9) and his second in three starts. The upset loss was the Rangers 50th defeat of the season, dropping them to 68-50 but they remain in control at the top of the American League West, while Toronto improve to 56-63 but still anchor the American League East. …
