Aug 20 (Reuters) – The Augusta National Golf Club, home ofThe Masters golf tournament, on Monday said it has admitted twowomen as members for the first time: former U.S. Secretary ofState Condoleezza Rice and financier Darla Moore. “This is a joyous occasion as we enthusiastically welcomeSecretary Condoleezza Rice and Darla Moore as members of AugustaNational Golf Club,” club President Billy Payne said in astatement. Aug 20 (Reuters) – The Buffalo Bills cut former Pro Bowldefensive end Shawne Merriman on Monday after an injury-plaguedstint with the National Football League (NFL) team. The move to release Merriman, a 28-year-old former firstround draft pick of the San Diego Chargers who was nicknamed”Lights Out” because of his hard hits, was made in a one-linestatement issued by the Bills. The Bills had originally acquired Merriman off waivers in2010 in hopes that the player who led the NFL with 39.5 sacksfrom 2005-07 could help bolster their pass rush. …
