Nov 10 (Reuters) – South Koreans Ulsan Hyundai made the most of home advantage as they easily beat Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia 3-0 in the final of the Asian Champions League on Saturday. Captain Kwak Tae-hwi opened the scoring in the 13th minute with Brazilian forward Rafinha and midfielder Kim Seung-yong adding second half goals as the Koreans won Asia’s premier club tournament for the first time. Ulsan collected the $1.5 million winners cheque and will now represent Asia in the FIFA Club World Cup next month in Japan where they will take on Mexican side Monterrey in the quarter-finals. …

Poutiainen leads World Cup slalom after 1st run
LEVI, Finland (AP) — Local favorite Tanja Poutiainen of Finland had the fastest time in the first run of a women’s World Cup slalom Saturday, taking a narrow lead over Germany’s Maria Hoefl-Riesch.

Pak all-rounder Azhar Mahmood says not desperate to don national colours again
Karachi, Nov. 10 (ANI): Pakistani all-rounder Azhar Mahmood, who has not been a part of the Pakistan team since the 2007 World Cup, has said that while playing for Pakistan was still his priority, he was not desperate to don the national colours.
Soccer-Reveillere replaces injured Jallet for France
PARIS, Nov 10 (Reuters) – France have called up Lyon defender Anthony Reveillere to replace the injured Christophe Jallet for Wednesday’s international friendly in Italy, the French Federation (FFF) said on Saturday. The 33-year-old right back has 19 caps and last played for France in September when they beat Finland 1-0 in a 2014 World Cup qualifier. French media reported Paris St Germain’s Jallet had suffered a thigh injury. France manager Didier Deschamps this week named a 23-man squad for the match in Parma.
