Norway's Svindal wins world downhill title
SCHLADMING, Austria (AP) -- Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway won the men 39;s downhill title at the Alpine skiing world championships Saturday after a powerful run down the Planai course that no one came close to matching.

Wenger calls for blood testing
Arsene Wenger is adamant more must be done to stamp out potential doping in football, with the use of blood tests for starters.

Arsenal's Wenger calls for compulsory blood tests
LONDON (Reuters) – Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on soccer authorities to introduce compulsory blood testing to check for drugs cheats. His comments come after a week where the head of the Spanish soccer league was forced to deny allegations he was complicit in the provision of banned substances to players while president of Real Sociedad. A damning report into doping in Australian sport was also released. "I do not think, in football, we do enough," Wenger told British newspapers on Saturday. …
