Alpine skiing-Maze wins overall World Cup
MERIBEL, France, Feb 24 (Reuters) – Slovenia’s Tina Maze officially won the women’s overall Alpine skiing World Cup when she won a super-combined event on Sunday. With nine World Cup races left until the end of the season, Maze leads closest rival Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany by 958 points and can no longer be caught as each victory awards 100 points.
